Miner, Laura Marinda Hyde

Biography

21 May 1837–10 Aug. 1909. Born at Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio. Daughter of Orson Hyde and Marinda Nancy Johnson. Moved to Far West, Caldwell Co., Missouri, summer 1838; to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois; and to what became Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa Territory, by 1850. Migrated to Salt Lake Valley, 1852. Married Aurelius Miner, 30 May 1856, at Salt Lake City. Member of Relief Society general board, 1892–1898. Moved to Logan, Cache Co., Utah, by 1900. Participated in organization of Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Died in Salt Lake City.
