<​1​> Sunday— December 1, 1839, The of met at ’s, & voted that , & be a committee to send a petition to the Legislature to discontinue certain parts of the city of , & also of and am <​all​> other needful acts relative to those cities; that furnish the maps & plots for the alterations, & that circulate the petitions for subscribers,— Voted that publish a pi[e]ce in the “Times & Seasons” informing the breth[r]en in the West that it is imp[r]oper to remove east to from the west to for the purpose of locating in Ohio, & that those who do thus remov[e]d will be disfellowshipped by the coun[c]il. This day Alexander Wright & Samuel Mulliner, arrived in from , Their were mislaid on their journey, and they had some difficulty in making themselves known.— Some time this month, Bro wrote a long Epistle “to the saints scatterd abroad greeting,” setting forth his suff[er]ings &c in the state of , & publish[e]d the same in the “Tines & Seasons” p. 20.th. & onwourd.
