<​prinonens [prisoners] petitind for ​> <​28​> Tuesday 28, I was at home. When the Prisone[r]s arrived at Columbia, they applied to for a special term of Court to be hold[e]n for their trials The petition was granted, & the July 1st was at appointed for the sitt[i]ng of the court.

About this time <​first house built​> , raised the first house buit by the in this place, <​it​> abo was bui[l]t of Logs, about 25, or 30 rods N.N.E. of my dwelli[n]g. & numberd on on the N.E. Corner of Lot 4, Block 147— of the [Hugh] White purchase. [p. 58]
